Client suffered serious orthopedic injuries when he was cut-off on the freeway by an inattentive driver causing him to crash his motorcycle at a high rate of speed. At first the insurance company for the at-fault driver disputed their insured’s liability and the extent of the client’s injuries. The case eventually settled for the at-fault driver’s Insurance policy limits of $100,000.00.
Client’s husband was killed by a negligent driver who was using a cell phone at the time of the crash. The defendant initially fled from the scene of the collision but was discovered some time later by law enforcement. The insurance company tendered their policy limits to the client shortly after receiving our demand, saving the client time and money by avoiding costly litigation.

This case was referred to our office from another attorney who was handling the case but could not get the insurance company to be reasonable. Client was bitten in the face by a very small dog and suffered from superficial scarring to his right upper lip which was barely noticeable. The insurance company did not want to pay any reasonable settlement amount so we prepared for trial including retaining an expert and arranging for the client's physician to appear at trial and testify about the future cost of plastic surgery. Once the defense realized we were intending to try the case, the insurance carrier got our client the money he deserved.
